With the world locked in the grip of coronavirus it’s more important than ever that we pull together and do the best for each other.
Schools are being closed, borders shut temporarily and our usual way of life is under threat. Perhaps nowhere is the change being felt more keenly that in businesses that have lost their customers and are struggling to survive.
Well, Chick-fil-A are adapting to the new state of affairs in a perfect way – they simply won’t let COVID-19 keep their customers from their food.
One location, in Cascade Park, took to Facebook to state: “To support and care for the health & well-being of our Guests and Team Members, our dining room seating is temporarily closed.
“Our team is looking forward to serving you in the drive-thru, inside for carryout orders only (placed at the front counter or on the Chick-fil-A App), or at curbside delivery via the Chick-fil-A App. Our operating hours remain the same, Monday – Saturday 6:30am – 10:00pm.”
Not only that, but they’ve now added delivery as an optionl.
“Off to the next delivery,” they shared on March 14. “Did you know that we deliver not only food but a great attitude? It comes free with a smile on the side.”
And yet it was on Saturday in Vancouver, Washington, that an act of true compassion captured the attentions of the masses. That same Cascade Park location gave local healthcare providers a much-needed meal break.
“Today, we were truly honored to partner with PeaceHealth Southwest to serve their fantastic team,” the Chick-fil-A Cascade Park Facebook account posted.
“We are so grateful to John Dombroski and his team at Chick-fil-A Cascade Park in Vancouver for delivering and serving 1,000 meals to our hard-working caregivers today,” the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center posted.
“Your kindness in a tough time is appreciated more than you can know.”
KATU went as far as to say some of the health workers were left in tears by the beautiful gesture.
What a truly fantastic act to reward those going out of their way in such turbulent times.
