With a change of diet, eating clean, regular green juice detox and taking all the right nutrients, you may be able to stop the flare-ups.
The most common treatments for eczema involve the use of topical steroid creams and other ointments. This may help deal with the irritation and pain of the eczema patches, but they will not address the root cause of the problem.
There are ways to effectively treat eczema without using commercial products. If you are tired of solutions that do not work, then you may need to try something new. WHAT CAUSES ECZEMA?

What you don’t eat is just as important as what you eat. Wrong food combination, bad eating habits, eating highly processed foods, eating foods void of nutrients, foods high in harmful fats and sugar, foods low in fiber and long-term medication, all contribute to a higher risk of leaky gut.
Choose instead, to eat more whole foods that are high in fiber and with beneficial fatty acids. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole grains, legumes all fall into this category. Drinking at least a glass or two of green juices daily will also help to heal the gut. Another very healing food for leaky gut is bone broth. Learn how to make it yourself and drink it daily.
Add high fiber foods in your diet. Have a bowl of oatmeal every morning for breakfast as that will help to clean out the digestive tract. Start including juicing in your lifestyle and drink more anti-inflammatory juices to keep inflammation down.
2. Consume More Probiotics
As mentioned, imbalances between beneficial and harmful gut bacteria can lead to eczema flare-ups. To restore the balance, eat more kefir and fermented foods, such as sauerkraut, pickles, and kimchi. Anti-inflammatory foods must also be high on your list. Restoring normal gut flora can reduce immune activity and the presence of inflammatory diseases, including eczema and asthma.
3. Take The Right Supplements
If you cannot consume foods that contain natural probiotics, you could find suitable high quality probiotics supplements (see recommended probiotics below). In addition to probiotics, you should also make sure that you are receiving enough vitamins C, D and E, the B vitamins, especially B6 and B12.
Zinc and kelp are also necessary to help the tissues heal, improve the immune system, and prevent inflammation. Healthy fats from black currant seeds, flaxseed, primrose or fish are beneficial in reducing inflammation and to improve overall nutrient absorption.
4. Topical Application
Stop using creams and ointments that you buy from over-the-counter, and use natural oils instead to help ease the itch. Using the right oils not only stop the itches, they will also help the skin to heal and scars may fade away. It may take many months of diligently applying these oils a few times a day, but they work! Use coconut oil, rosehip seed oil, oil of oregano, or jojoba oil.
Apple Cider Vinegar Solution
Apple cider vinegar has been long used for its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties, and it is one of the best traditional remedies for eczema.
- 2 tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar (recommend Braggs)
- 2 tablespoons purified water
- Cotton balls or pads
Use more of the above if you need to cover a bigger area.
Make the solution and soak them up with the cotton balls. Apply the soaked cotton balls directly on the inflamed skin area. Do not reuse on the same surface to prevent contamination. Use a new ball to be soaked in the solution each time. Repeat the treatment until you notice some improvement.
Warning: This ratio of apple cider vinegar to water is not recommended for individuals with sensitive skin. If that is your case, use half a cup of purified water and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.
5. Manage Your Stress Level And Get Enough Sleep
Stress and lack of sleep can prevent your body from being able to reduce inflammation. If you find it difficult to get a good night’s rest, you may notice that your eczema flare-ups tend to last for a long period of time. Try to manage your stress by taking regular breaks and paying more attention to self-care. Get at least seven hours of uninterrupted sleep each night. Never underestimate the damages that stress and lack of sleep can do!
6. Get Regular Exercise
Regular exercise is known to help reduce inflammation and strengthen the immune system. No matter what your fitness level is, you should get up and exercise at least five days per week. This could be as simple as walking for a half hour each day or you could push yourself and start a vigorous workout schedule.
