Ree Drummond, also known as The Pioneer Woman, is an incredibly popular Food Network star, food blogger and cookbook author. She has grown from running a food blog about her life on the ranch to building a complete lifestyle brand. She has a hotel and restaurant business, pet food and even a clothing line. But she will always be known for her shortcut recipes that are guaranteed to satisfy a hungry family.
The Pioneer Woman recently shared a preview of her latest cookbook, “The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Super Easy!” If you are familiar with Ree Drummond and her recipes, you know that she often uses ingredients that make a recipe easier or cut down on the cooking time. This new cookbook has the promise of 120 even easier recipes!
The book includes “120 Shortcut Recipes for Dinner, Desserts and More”. These are recipes for any time of day with “shortcut ingredients” you can keep on hand, such as frozen tater tots. The back cover of the book features a family photo of Ree and Ladd Drummond and their children.

The Pioneer Woman Cookbook Recipes
During the last year after spending so much time at home with her large family, she says she found herself reaching for more “shortcut ingredients” to create simpler recipes. The book includes a list of ingredients that allow for taking shortcuts instead of making every component from scratch. Less time in the kitchen means more time having fun with family, so bring on the list of shortcuts!
From the “sneak peek” photos Ree shared, it looks like the cookbook includes recipes for pasta, tachos, stromboli and some sweet desserts. And judging by her photos, some of the shortcut ingredients might be ready to cook ravioli and refrigerated bread dough. It looks like she also shares ideas for recipe variations, so you can use the shortcut ingredients in many different ways.

Ree posted about the cookbook on her site, The Pioneer Woman, and said that each recipe will include step by step photos of each part of the process. That makes cooking super easy, indeed! Each recipe will also include a large photo of the finished dish, so you have an idea of what it should look like when you are done. This is very helpful when deciding to make a dish (and not found in all cookbooks). If it looks good, you‘ll want to make it and eat it!
The Pioneer Woman Cookbook Details
Earlier this year, Ree Drummond shared her story about losing 38 pounds and talked about her secrets to slimming down. This cookbook promises to give you “ridiculously easy” recipes, giving you more family fun time, but it doesn’t appear to be a healthy or diet-based book whatsoever. In the “Super Easy!” cookbook, she includes more indulgent recipes for focaccia bread and a layered cake topped with candy and sprinkles.
